    Had a couple of phone interviews with the hiring manager. Then I was invited to an in person interview where I was to present on a specific assignment they gave me. It was to analyze and interpret data for a specific dealership, and then make suggestions.

    I had two interviews, phone and video. The difficulty level of the questions was average. Both were very enthusiastic and provided many details as to the company itself and their values and what is expected of me if I were to take on the role.

    The recruiter got to my application a month after I had sent it in. The interview process was your typical questions, but the recruiter didn't come off as genuine nor seem interested in interviewing me. The bigger problem was however what had happened afterwards. It had taken her roughly another month to get back to me. Additionally, she sent me an automated email, stating they had proceeded with another candidate, which was quickly recalled, and then proceeded to send me the same email three days later. Certainly, her mistakes made her seem irresponsible and clumsy.

    I was referred to Volvo by a friend. I had a phone screen with the recruiter which went well. I was told I would be sent a job description, but I never was. Two weeks later, I had a phone interview set up with the hiring manager. The interview was a standard Product Manager interview - my experience, projects I worked on, the types of teams that I managed.

    After the interview, I waited the customary one week, and pinged the recruiter asking about my status. I was told that they would like to continue with the interview. I waited another two weeks, before I was emailed asking to come in for an in person interview.

    I had an 8 hour interview with 8 different people on-site. I met with the co-founder of the group, the Product Manager, engineers, operations managers, and designers. I received good feedback from all of them. At the time, I had another offer, pending, once I was done with the onsite interview, I asked if they could get back to me within a week regarding a decision.

    I was asked back for an panel interview, for which I presented a 60 slide presentation for two hours. During the interview, I had good feedback as well. I was hoping to receive a decision, as I had a pending offer and had to ask for another offer extension.

    That evening I received an email asking for another phone interview. I had the interview which again the interviewer talked about how everyone that I interviewed with had good feedback for me.

    I waited another day - when the recruiter called me on the phone and told me the team was not going to move forward with the process. This was three months after the process started and two weeks after the 'final' on-site interview when I asked if the company could expedite a decision because of a pending job offer.

    The recruiter throughout the process was generally unresponsive - though I believe this is due to the lack of response from the actual business unit as opposed to anything the recruiter did. In general, the business unit seemed disorganized. I received many of the same interview questions multiple times sometimes from the same people. Yet, I was asked back for another panel interview and a phone interview a week after an eight hour interview. The team seemed indecisive and not competent.

    The process was crisp and exactly to the point.
    Initially, the HR ringed me up to update me about my selection for the interview. HR , team manager and my lead were the three people who interviewed. They gave me the time I needed to brief about myself and answer the questions asked. The questions were related to the job description and they were clear with their expectations. The HR was sweet and she helped throughout the process. Follow up and communication mails were swift.

    This was a video interview...not skype. You are sent A zendesk interview link where you will read a question and record your answer. You only have one opportunity to record your answer within a 2 minute time frame. You cannot re-record your answer and you cannot stop and restart the recording. After finishing the interview I found it ironic that Volvo is using the absolute worst user experience on the market to recruit user experience designers.

    Called by Volvo Recruiter and sent link to apply for position. Then received an email from HR to pick a phone interview date. Selected date and was provided with HR point of contact. Sent contact an email to understand phone interview process as to whether it would be a single or panel interview. No response even after 2 follow-up emails.....GHOSTED! Interview was a panel of 3 managers/supervisors. Prepared to answer questions regarding job description provided when applied. Questions asked were not relevant to the job I applied for
    , but felt confident on my replies. Said they would get back to me....Ghosted for 4 months. So should you have an opportunity to ask a question at the end of your interview, ask how long you can expect to receive a response and from who. That is all!

    Had a round of phone interview with a hiring manager who asked to solve an existing problem that the company was trying to resolve. I was then asked to do a design challenge. The design challenge was the same as the problem asked on the phone interview. This time they wanted to see how I wireframe/mock the solution. I submitted the task, and after 2 weeks the company decided to change the requirement of the job and said that they were looking for a Lead design position. My experience and qualifications did not match for Lead position. To me, the design challenge was not needed to make that judgement. The company could have made that decision based on my portfolio and resume. It felt that they simply want candidates to submit solutions so that they can use them for their own benefits. Very unprofessional approach to hiring anyone.

    The hiring process is not properly managed. The interviewers lack basic work ethics and professionalism. The team had no idea of the project requirements . The hiring manager lacked basic knowledge.
