Made it to interview with hiring manager. Was not selected to move on after that, even though the read on the zoom call was positive. The internal recruiter explained that the culture fit was excellent, the only problem was me being overqualified for the role, with encouragement to apply for additional, more advanced roles in the future. Been getting rejections on every submitted application thereafter (at least 8 over the past 18 months) with no interviews since.
