Entretien

This was basically a six step interview process that took about two months to complete. 1. Short call with HR to discuss basics of the postion. 2. Call with hiring manager for introductions and to layout the rest of the process. 3. Present a Zscaler product pitch to the hiring manager. 4. In person panel interview with a presentation about yourself, Zscaler product pitch, and panel questions and role playing. 5. Call with Customer Success Global leader. 6. References, education, and background check.

    The interview process took a couple months with multiple video conferences and a final panel interview. There were two different presentations on the Zscaler product that I had to put together. It was a lot of work but well worth it. Very nice group of folks that were interested in knowing what makes you tick.

    There were 4 interviews; First with a recruiter, then a 1on1 with hiring manager, then a panel interview and finally interview with the VP of customer success. The panel interview was very challenging and lasts almost three hours. They have a bench full of talented people and they are very selective on who they hire to maintain that!

    Zscaler is company on the cutting edge of cloud security, and the employees here are extremely intelligent and informed on both the product, the industry, and what's important to the customers. The interview process was difficult, but very fair. That said, it was one of the best I've been a part of. The HR manager was excellent, and I was provided insights into next steps, timing, etc. throughout the process.

    The interview process consisted of 4 stages. 1) 1:1 screening with the HR manager, 2) 1:1 screening with the hiring manager, 3) face to face panel interview at HQ including individuals from various divisions within the organization, 4) 1:1 with VP.

    The interview process requires that candidates do their homework. It's expected that you will have a general understanding of the overall Zscaler value proposition, and how this solves the various issues that the industry is experiencing with the movement to remote users/sites and cloud migration. The panel interview is a chance to showcase your presentation skills, your ability to display your understanding of the value proposition and various product sets, and how you respond to difficult questions/scenarios. The panel discussion can go on for a number of hours, and is tremendously helpful for both sides of the table to ask questions to ensure a cultural fit.

    Multiple (time wasting rounds), it all started in October as the had a phone screen which followed by a Skype call with the Hiring manager and then I was told to keep an eye out as I maybe one of the candidates selected for the next round (which I was- and took a month) then I was invited to multiple interviews (1 was a panel and the next was with the hiring manager and the Again with someone else- what they didn’t have faith in me?) I lost faith as they (Zscaler) took their sweet time to decide whether I am worth it / good fit or not and after investing so much I just think they are not worth my time.

We are growing rapidly and take enormous pride in making sure our candidate engagement is meaningful and proves worthy of the investment of your time. Your feedback will help us get better.

    I think part of our challenge with the role you interviewed for stems from the fact that it is a brand new role with unique requirements, given the department was just created this fiscal year. We have never hired for this position until now; only a partial version of it. Over time, we will have a much better understanding of the key requirements for success. That said, the length of time and our indecisiveness regarding your candidacy did not help the situation much. Given our high standards here at Zscaler, I would expect us to improve quickly.     It was a four step process, an HR phone screen, a phone interview with the hiring manager, an in person presentation to a group, and finally a phone interview with a senior executive.

    • It was a total of 4 hours of interviewing so there were many questions, but no one specific question that stands out.     First contact with the recruiter. The process is explained and clear since the beginning. The number of meetings/calls has been 4 in my case. In each call a different aspect of role, personality, abilities is tested. There is a face to face meeting you will need to prepare for. It is a very good idea to study and research the company, the market and the products beforehand
