    Four interviews, including being asked to complete a project (sourcing exercise). One interview with a REQ owner, one interview with the talent acquisition manager, two peer interviews with team recruiters.

    The overall process is very similar to the process most tech companies are employing these days, everything is via phone of video meeting (pandemic). Following are the main steps:
    1. Recruiter reaches out to you to set up a short phone chat. The recruiter found me via LinkedIn.
    2. Recruiter asks general questions, not to in depth at all. One thing that that was very different with this particular recruiter/company is that after asking me the pay I would accept, he gave me a yearly rate for the role, up front. He literally said, "This role is 85,000/yr salary, is that OK?" Recruiter requested I send writing samples, and told me someone would be in touch to set up a call with the hiring manager.
    3. 30 minute interview with hiring manager. Great chat, again, just general questions for the field: Why this company, tell me about yourself, ...
    4. Longer interview with hiring manager and 3 team members. For this particular department, I found that the team members were all newer to the company and all but one, new to the workforce (newer college grads). They asked general behavioral questions, but something struck me in their questions. They kept asking the same question (sometimes rephrased, and one time they wanted more info and examples from me): Have you worked with difficult people and how did you handle it?

    After that that longer interview I DID NOT HEAR ANYTHING BACK. I found this un professional and for that reason will not ever recommend that company. I strongly feel that if I've invested all this time into interviewing with you, the least you could do is send me a quick email to tell me you will not be proceeding with me. How would the company feel if they set up the hours-long interview with everyone and I do not show up?

    I had a positive experience with the hiring manager. It was the first interview and I’ve not yet progressed further to comment. Ours seemed to be a match. It seems like a good company with a bright future.

    Started with the initial phone call with the recruiter then it was a one-on-one phone interview the hiring manager. The final round was a panel interview with 5 different members of the Zscaler team. Where you had to do a presentation as well as a mock sales call with them.

    3 Rounds of phone interviews. Recruiters were friendly. The engineers were late for the interviews (15 minutes and 1 hour). Interviewers did not seem prepared. Postponed final decision repeatedly (got an answer after a month of the promised date).

    Online Assessment with 3-4 MCQs and 2 coding problems. Got an update on assessment after a week and then HR scheduled 4 technical rounds one after another.
    More focus was on Java than tricky algorithms.

    Sent me a glider link. I'm normally not a fan of these softwares that invade privacy, but since covid-19 has made the economy so bad I was desperate. I broke no rules, yet when I searched up documentation, the glider software complained that I cheated and I would be reported. Another time when I was just looking at the screen, the glider ai again complained I was looking away and I had once again cheated. This really messed with me as I got thrown off and became really stiff, too afraid to do anything. I emailed the recruiter, and she said she got no complaints from the software. Overall, not a good experience.
