Describe great and not-so-great managers you've worked with in the past. What attributes did they possess that led to the quality of your relationship?

This is a question that throws a lot of people off. No one will go through their entire career maintaining perfect relationships with every single supervisor. However, it's important not to bash someone else's reputation or focus on the negative aspects of a not-so-great working relationships. Answer this question honestly with certain characteristics that made working with the individual difficult and then expound on ways that you adapted to their management style to get the work done. Then stress at least three attributes that your favorite manager possessed that made working with them enjoyable (e.g. "He/She promoted my professional development", "He/She maintained open communication with me"). Why did you leave company XYZ? ( asked by 4 of 7 people) Answer: I left because the project completed successfully and the contract expired. Question: Yeah, But why did you leave? Answer: The contract wasn't expired and I wasn't going to get payed for showing up. Question: So that's why you left???

I interviewed for the same position and based on the questions you posted, the same group of people interviewed me. I feel like they're treating senior professionals like interns. One interviewer was pulling questions out of a book and won't move on until he hears the answers he wants to word for word. The other person was clearly distracted and kept on talking on mute to other people. I was extremely insulted. ZT needs to understand interview is a mutual selection process for the company and the candidate, please respect other people's time. Moins

The behvioral based questions used the STAR format, (Situation, Task, Action, Result.) This allows the interviewer to gather information about a specific capacity that the job requires. Situation: The interviewer wants you to present a recent challenge and situation in which you found yourself. Task: What did you have to achieve? The interviewer will be looking to see what you were trying to achieve from the situation. Action: What did you do? The interviewer will be looking for information on what you did, why you did it and what the alternatives were. Result: What was the outcome of your actions? What did you achieve through your actions and did you meet your objectives? What did you learn from this experience and have you used this learning since?
