What do you know about the company?

When designing a system, what order do you put the following attributes and why; Speed, Quality and Durability?
5 réponses↳
Any system needs to be designed to be durable first. If the system keeps breaking down, quality and speed are moot. Throughput needs to be reliable. Once a stable system is established then quality has to be focused upon. Establishing a quality culture is a tough task but it gets easier when applied on a system that works well. One a stable system that produces quality products is established, then speed can be achieved in multiple different ways. Moins

Through questions like this, interviewers are mostly trying to test your skillset (and its relevance to the role) as robustly as possible, so be prepared for multiple offshoots and followups. It could be a useful exercise to do mocks with friends or colleagues in Tesla to get a real sense of what the interview is actually like. Alternatively Prepfully has a ton of Tesla Manufacturing Engineer experts who provide mock interviews for a pretty reasonable amount. prepfully.com/practice-interviews Moins

You are in charge of a production line and one of the safety guarding is missing on conveyor. The production supervisor wants to start production. What would you do?
5 réponses↳
cease and dessist.
↳
Don't start production. This is both a quality issue and a potential safety issue. Moins
↳
Depends on how much time I have until production is to start. If it’s only a few mins I’d try to grab someone good at fabricating and have them fab up a makeshift guard, I’d put a notice up about the safety issue at the work station as well as talk to the crew about taking extra precautions at that work station. If the crew thinks the situation is serious enough that they feel they can’t proceed I’d call the production supervisor immediately about the issue and let him make the call on how he wants to proceed. Most likely I’d then put in a ‘hot’ work order for a new guard to be purchased/fabricated/installed ASAP. Moins

Why did you apply to work at Coca-Cola?
5 réponses↳
As a future engineer, I am always looking to challenge myself and advance my skill set. Working in a growth-oriented position at a Fortune 500 company like Coca-Cola will allow me to develop my professional as well as technical skills, which will be more than useful in my future endeavors. My specific interest in Coca-Cola lies in the fact that the positions are multidisciplinary. It is a position that allows you to draw and apply knowledge from various disciplines including engineering, business, and statistics to solve a problem or achieve a goal. Also, I believe that I have a lot to offer Coca-Cola. Having worked at a manufacturing company prior, I understand the urgency of the manufacturing industry and also have experience formulating SOP’s as well as in waste analysis/management. In school, I take a course called Engineering computation in which I learn MATLAB Programming language as well as Excel VBA and Macros. I would relish the opportunity to apply the skills I have gained in both school and at my previous work term Moins

Hello sir

They had a picture of a two clocks one with a short pendulum one with a long pendulum they asked which one runs faster...
4 réponses↳
If the only difference in the images is the length of the pendulum, then that's all you can say has changed, so you answer as if the clocks are identical with exception of the pendulum length. Moins
↳
It's basic physics. The shorter pendulum swings more quickly.
↳
Nope it's not "basic physics" a clock pendulum is not driven by gravity it is driven by a "pendulum drive unit" that continually "kicks" the pendulum to ensure that it stays at the proper speed so that is why a clock designed with a short pendulum will run at the same speed a clock designed with a long pendulum... old school clocks before the drive unit would use weights and pullies to ensure the pendulums swung at the proper speeds...
