Procurify
On a demandé à Vice President Marketing...24 juin 2014

You build your own role at Procurify. What do you want your position to look like in two years?

3 réponses

Typical Answers: I don't know. I haven't really thought about this. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish personally. Then we'll think of ways to make that work at Procurify and whether that is something you would be interested in. Moins

In two years from now, i see my self as an Executive Officer, new generations learned to handle all life pressures as a CEO- operations, logistics, handling their financials ,, educating themselves through on-line learning or universities campus. Marketing today is about the "evolution of products to meet the end-customer demands. End-results are the objective ,, more revenues are the target , larger market-share is the approach and latest technologies are the methodology. Best of luck for everybody however the experience $ objectives may vary. Moins

I see myself after two years as a successful marketing manager working to make profits and profits to make other projects that support us and the company Moins

ReedGroup

I was asked questions typical of any interview of this nature, primarily centered around my experience and specific goals and campaign results that I have achieved.

2 réponses

Yes it's horrible.

Be glad you didn't get the job, the place is toxic

ABM Industries

When/where did you go to High School?

2 réponses

I was in a "lose/lose" situation; answer the question and reveal my age (old but not dead!), or refuse and lose out anyway. I opted to answer, but in hindsight I should have tried answering with "the recruiter has already vetted me via a background check; she can confirm all this detailed stuff with you" and offer that it might be more productive in our limited time to discuss how I can help his company. Might not have worked, but would have been a better try. Moins

ABM HR in one of the Ky job sites is a joke.....Just be glad you didn't interview there. Their HR guy is one of the good ole boys. You get a job depending on who you know. Be glad you didn't get the job, because the site I'm referring to allows certain operation managers to treat project managers dirty and do underhanded things and get away with it. Moins

Blackbaud

Comp

2 réponses

I shared my current comp with HR and the external recruiter and also explained that I had active opportunities far beyond that level, and that I wasn't negotiable below $x. Moins

Never EVER give your current comp. (period)

Enplug

" I'd like you to create a 12-month marketing proposal, no longer than 3 pages. In this proposal: 1. Outline all the hires, if any, you would make if you were to build a new marketing team from scratch 2. Outline all day-to-day marketing activities vs longer campaigns 3. Proposed budget for each marketing activity and the expected ROI for each activity 4. Include KPIs and other metrics 5. Include anything else you think would be valuable in the proposal I understand you don't have a lot of information on Enplug's current activity to create this proposal, so don't worry too much about accuracy. You can use public information to determine your strategy. The goal of this is to understand the depth and breadth of how to market in our industry. I want to see if you are familiar with the traditional methods and any "out of the box" thinking. "

I am fine with a 1-2 hour project for an interview, but she asked for something that requires considerably more time & research in order to be done well. I replied explaining to her that her request was unreasonable, generally costing businesses thousands of $s, but I would happily provide something less extravagant and talk her through it. She didn't budge. Nor did I. My reflections: - They are only looking for unemployed persons who have time to gamble (waste) on their projects - They think it's appropriate to request a multiple-hour assignment from early-stage interviewees (eg. disrespecting others' time) - They will unashamedly seek actionable information from uncompensated interviewees - Their CMO might want to freshen up his resume Moins

I received word (directly from the CEO) that they actually interviewed 20 people AFTER giving out this assignment. Meaning they made 20+ early-stage applicants do a multiple hour project, still knowing Very little about any of them. She actually said there were 320 applicants, so that 20+ is likely over 100. Meaning she wasted multiple hundreds of hours of others' time, with them having little indication on where they stand. What that means: ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT. Considering that ethic, do you think I would want to work for her even if I tried to get the job? Absolutely not. Moins
