I was trying to explain to conduct an investigation. If the situation happened over and over again, needs to open a SCAR for supplier and work with them for corrective actions. I explained to look into supplier's process to identify the root cause and develop a short term and long term correction plan. My answer is pretty standard for supplier quality engineer but the hiring manager apparently was looking for something else and did not appear to understand some standard quality terminologies.
