"How would you get the ear of the CEO of Best Buy?"

Um, would the CEO really have any technical questions? I would be glad to advise him, but to get his attention would require marketing support. Moins

Well everyone buys quality so i'll approach him as a potential customer and sell quality products to him giving him customer satisfaction....guess! i'll have his attention by then! offering him a best Moins


When would you not fix a bug?

I was asked this question during an interview for another software company. The answer I pulled out of my butt was that fixing one bug might beget other unforeseen ones. I don't know how heavily they weighed my answer to that question, but I got the job. Moins

It's essential to demonstrate that you can really go deep... there are plenty of followup questions and (sometimes tangential) angles to explore. If you had a choice between two superpowers (being invisible, or flying) which would you choose?

I said, well that's easy I would choose being invisible since then I could fly for free! Everybody laughed. They offered me the position but at the time I just wasn't ready given the other things that were going on. They wanted to expand the role and it didn't work then. Moins

invisible = you have fear of something or you are shy flying = you don't have fear of being on stage (good leaders) Moins

One of the most effective ways of getting people excited about something is to identify and clearly convey the benefit they would be getting out of it for an issue, difficulty, or problem they might be dealing with. Moins
