Candidature
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris +1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien à Capital One (Laurel, MD (États-Unis)) en décembre 2018.
Entretien
Let me start off by saying I think Capital One is an amazing company to work for but like any company experiencing growth you may encounter people that may not represent the company well.
I was contacted via LinkedIn by a recruiter. We spoke on the phone for about 30 minutes and he advised he wanted me to speak with a manager. The entire time I was speaking to the recruiter he was eating something. You could tell he was muting the phone and coming back, each time he returned to the call you could hear the crunching of food. After my interview with him he offered no prep or guidance for the next interview. A few days later I connected with the manager who seemed uninterested in what I had to say from the minute I got on the call. I told her my name several times but she continued to butcher it which I’m sure would not have been the case had my name been something "simple". As soon as we got on the phone she let me know she had a hard stop at 2:30pm but she also called me 4 minutes late. I’m guessing I was just another person she HAD to speak to but actually had no interest in listening to what I had to say. Twice during the interview her phone rang so I paused to see if she needed to take it. She said it was fine and to keep going. She never once asked about what i do now or anything. Shortly after the call I received the rejection email. I called my original recruiter to ask for feedback and I was advised that Jill felt that I would not be able to hit the ground running which was mind blowing to me as she never asked any questions pertaining to my actual work now. The experience was disappointing to say the least. People take time to prep for these opportunities at least I did, respect your candidates enough to value their time. Don’t treat them just like another number in your monthly quota.
