J'ai travaillé chez Glassdoor à temps plein (Plus d'un an)
Good salary and good snacks.
The idea of the business was initially good.
Good HR team doing their best in EMEA.
Some very talented individuals across the globe.
The recruiting team is probably the best sales team in the company.
You can stay 6, 7 months without selling anything as long as you get on well and agree on everything with senior sales management.
It only take a few hours to realise that the job and the career opportunities you were promised are very different from the reality.
Glassdoor is praising transparency and well being within businesses but not any of it in EMEA (Snacks maybe?).
Ideas of senior sales management in London are probably coming from a very distant galaxy, and it makes it difficult to communicate with them for anyone that has been raised on Earth.
When talking to them, they might look at you blankly and nod from time to time but you're not sure about the meaning of it.
You spend countless hours in meetings, listening to some managers speaking about how they did it "back in their days".
Be careful when you give feedback, the day we finally got the chance to explain the things we needed to fix, senior management started crying while presenting results because their feelings were hurt... that's when I realised this escape game was no joke.
There is very little value from the product and you quickly feel the pressure from management to sell products that your clients won't even need. You just feel bad your clients as you are just trying to keep your job in the meantime.
Unfortunately, employees are treated like commodities.
Conseils à la direction
Put your clients first! Stop chasing profitability and not caring about your own clients and employees.
Instead of crying and doing team-building exercises, just try to acknowledge, take a step back, think and act.
PS: Don't waste time answering this review, just focus on what's happening in London especially, local senior management is killing the whole business in the region and they have no idea of what they are doing, even though they say they do.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Glassdoor (Londres, Angleterre (Royaume-Uni)) en novembre 2014.
The hiring process was done over 4 stages, which took a little under a month.
1) Phone call with the recruitment team, who were extremely swift and accommodating.
2) Phone call with the head of the team the position was for
3) Skype meeting with the SVP of the department
4) Meet the whole London based team for 30 minute sessions with each.
The interviews were oriented towards past experiences and future aspirations, they look to find overachievers who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and go the extra mile, being a rather small team in London, one's work may extend beyond the terms of your contract.
Someone from the hiring team contacted me the same day as I put forth my candidacy and was very impressed by the mix between friendly conversation and professionalism throughout the entire process.
I highly encourage people matching these criteria to apply.
Questions d'entretien d'embauche
Glassdoor are very accommodating, there is room to discuss your initial offer. They are flexible if you are as well.
