Je travaille chez Grant Thornton UK LLP à plein temps (Moins d'un an)
Exposure to high profile clients. Some very helpful and genuinely interested and interesting people. Overall the company is highly professional and its success is attributed to the caliber of many of the people employed thereby.
Often quite an unpleasant working environment. Unless you're part of the little cliques, you will be belittled behind your back and thrown under the bus, without so much as a conversation beforehand. Multiple situations where workloads have been increased to the point deadlines conflict, despite having what appears to be a well planned project time work plan each week. Most of the interesting work kept by senior associates/executives, while the menial tasks are passed down to juniors (although obviously some of this is key to learning, the proportion is more about ego and control). Lack of set formats often creates inefficiency. Certain managers like to criticise/edit work completed, purely to prove a point, rather than it being necessary (corrections sometimes contradict previous corrections).
Conseils à la direction
Pay attention to toxic personnel; weed these out and it will prevent the negative culture spreading downwards through future generations of employees.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Grant Thornton UK LLP (Glasgow, Écosse (Royaume-Uni)) en novembre 2018.
The first step of our application process is to complete a very quick and easy online application, and give us some basic details.
We’ll then invite you to complete a strengths assessment. This will be our first proper introduction. We’ll show you what your journey at Grant Thornton could look like and give you an idea of the challenges and situations you might face. A handy video on our trainee blog ‘Spilling the Beans’ offers tips and advice on this.
At this point, all successful candidates are invited to be part of our online community ‘Grant Thornton: I’ve applied’. Here, you can connect with other candidates, current trainees and our recruiters, and find blogs, discussions, top tips and loads of great advice to help you with our application process.
The next stage is an online video interview and if successful, you’ll then be invited to a final round assessment that lasts for half a day. This involves a group exercise and an interview to get to know you better and lunch or coffee with some of our trainees to help you get to know us better.
