Awesome pay (commission based, and only when you actually do get paid), mainly unsupervised, independent, highly lucrative if you are active in the position and work hard.
Highly disorganized and went through a 3rd party company that Uber was able to blame OSHA violations, pay discrepancies, and Employee Rights violations (TargetCW is 3rd party company). Uber/TargetCW failed to pay many of its brand ambassadors for the work they performed, continued to have consistent pay discrepancies even when prior discrepancies were paid or resolution of payment was attempted, did not provide any breaks or lunch breaks, did not provide water (law to provide water in CA to employees working outside over 5 hours in heat over approx. 95°F), and had employees use own resources and transportation to drive to a location (not near work location of the day) to pick up tech gear and other resources before shift without providing compensation for travel or efforts and demanded it be "undocumented time" or "off the clock" and unpaid. No Uber employee benefits or any credit for Uber rides. I personally worked in mostly south central locations and was exposed to highly unsafe work environments. I experienced a shooting between the 101st gang and Hoover st gang, have video of man becoming aggressive and attacking construction workers workers with a gold club in the same gas station doing work as we were too. Before recording started, he also became violent and attempted to attack myself and my partner with the golf club as well. There were also countless instances of regular aggression and violence aimed towards myself and my partner at each worksite that we endured on a daily basis.
