J'ai travaillé chez Wood Mackenzie à temps plein (Plus de 3 ans)
The people are nice. The company is well-respected in the industry.
Management isn't great. The company is too top-heavy and most of management is from Edinburgh. Consequently this place is often an echo chamber. Attrition rate has been SEVERELY high - many teams have become brand new after literally everyone jumped ship. IMO this has led to knowledge loss and a noticeable drop in research quality.
Conseils à la direction
Diversity isn't just shouting about hiring 50% women every chance you can. Always promoting your "in group" of British people has been off-putting for local staff and this is one of the main reasons talented people leave your company.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris +3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien à Wood Mackenzie (Singapour (Singapour)) en septembre 2015.
Process consisting of 3 telephone conversations and 1 extensive Assessment Centre. Candidates were asked to prepare a presentation to outline the regional marketing strategy based on limited information provided as well as conduct a presentation to a company audience. Furthermore, there was a coffee-chat with a long-serving employee.
After completing all the interviews as well as intensively preparing for the presentation, I received no follow-up from the Wood Mackenzie recruiting company / HR department. After more than 6 weeks, I decided to do a follow-up myself after which they confirmed I was not the chosen candidate. I was very disappointment with how they treat their applicants.
