Je travaille chez Action on Hearing Loss à temps partiel (Pendant plus de 8 ans)
Staff teams can be great, and in general are really caring/ creative about supporting people. Lots of training and refresher courses provided throughout.
Dedication and attitudes of staff teams can vary massively between different services, and according to how well they are managed. These services also do not always have a lot to do with each other, therefore not much joined up thinking takes place. Some teams very understaffed and overstretched. Pay is very low and support staff are not made to feel valued for what they do. Leading to high staff turnover and inconsistency for the people who use the services.
Conseils à la direction
Look after your staff better and you will have better services.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé une entrevue à Action on Hearing Loss (Londres, Angleterre (Royaume-Uni)) en décembre 2015.
I applied online by emailing my cv and covering letter to the hiring manager, which I found quite refreshing. I received an email to confirm he had received it and advised on when he would be in touch. He rang and invited me to a interview the following week. The interview started with an excel test, critique of a direct mail and competency based questions.
