    Avantages

Friendly and talented colleagues, thought-through processes, open collaborative culture, getting to work with cool cutting-edge tech.

    Inconvénients

Onboarding process was a bit bewildering to begin with.

    Conseils à la direction

Make people use their actual photos for their online avatars (instead of cartoons, gifs etc,) - it would really help newcomers put names to faces better.

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à BrightHR (Manchester City Centre, Angleterre (Royaume-Uni)) en mars 2019.

    Entretien

Started off with a fifteen minute phone screen from a recruiting partner with Peninsula. From there I was sent a homework assignment (a code kata focused on TDD) which I was given a week to complete. The exercise itself only took a few hours.

I was then invited for a face to face interview with the dev lead, delivery manager, and another developer. The first part was asking questions against competencies, about my experience and strengths, then we moved on to discussing the homework and how I went about it. It felt very informal and friendly, with a chatty tone. I was asked to write some more tests and implement new features on the spot (and subsequently made all of the tests fail!). They taught me a lot about the company and the product and the processes they follow.

The whole interview process was really well thought out and engaging, definitely one of the better processes that I've been through! I can't wait to start working there.
