Financial Wellness

  • Flexible Spending Accounts
    Health care and dependent care costs can really add up. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow you to set aside money to pay for some of these expenses. You set aside the money pre-tax which means that you do not pay tax on the amounts you elect to contribute. Cargill offers two FSAs – the Health Care FSA and the Dependent Care FSA.
  • 401(k)
    Cargill’s 401(k) plan is a portable retirement account. You can contribute up to 50 percent of your pay on a pre-tax basis, after-tax (Roth) basis or a combination of both. The account then grows tax-free. Cargill matches a portion of your contributions to the plan.
  • Tuition Reimbursement
    Cargill's Tuition Reimbursement Program provides financial support for eligible employees who decide to take a college course or pursue a GED, undergraduate or graduate degree. The Program is designed to determine the appropriate opportunities that will help enhance skills, assume additional responsibilities or fit well with professional development plans.
  • Adoption Assistance
    Every new addition to your family changes your life. Cargill offers reimbursement for qualified expenses up to a maximum amount. In addition, Cargill offers policies for time off for new parents. New fathers and mothers, if eligible, may take time off under the Paid Family Leave Policy and/or the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), or may request a personal leave of absence.

Income Protection

  • Salary Continuation / Accident and Sickness
    Cargill provides pay for qualified absences.
  • Long-term Disability
    Cargill provides Long-term Disability (LTD) coverage for employees with salaried benefits that replaces a portion of pay if an employee is totally disabled for six months or more, as defined by the plan.
  • Life Insurance
    Cargill provides basic life insurance and dependent insurance coverage at no cost. Additional coverage is available
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
    Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance provides coverage if you or your spouse is disabled or killed as the result of an accident. You can purchase voluntary AD&D coverage for yourself and your spouse.

Time Away From Work

  • Holidays and Vacation
    Cargill provides employees time away from work to encourage work/life balance. Employees receive nine paid holidays per year, plus two floating paid holidays. In addition, employees earn vacation. Cargill’s paid vacation period runs from June 1 through the following May 31. On June 1, you will receive your allotted vacation days for use from June 1 through May 31.
  • Paid Family Leave
    Cargill is committed to providing an inclusive work environment and supporting its employees through critical life events that require time away from work. The Paid Family Leave policy provides income support for employees. Under this Policy, eligible employees may receive up to two weeks of paid leave to bond with a newborn or newly placed foster child, or to care for a family member with a serious health condition, and up to four weeks of Paid Family Leave to bond with a newly adopted child.

    J'ai postulé via un établissement de l'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire.. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien à Cargill (Saint-Nazaire, Pays de la Loire) en octobre 2011.


    C'était un entretien à une foire pour emploi sans préselection. La dame des ressources humaines était incapable de s'adapter à une situation ou le candidat n'avait pas la formation linéaire typique qui ne pointe rien mais travaille pour leur compagnie, ce qui a rendu la situation assez inconfortable. Toute la conversation est devenue improductive très rapidement puisqu'elle n'était pas capable de faire des suggestions sur quelle partie de la compagnie je devrais contacter avec un profil comme le mien.
