    Point de vue négatif

J'ai travaillé chez Cievents à temps plein (Moins d'un an)

    - Lovely people
    - Great atmosphere and team spirit
    - Not micro-managed - managers trust you to get on with your job like adults, but are on hand to help when you need

    - Outdated systems make everything laborious and hard to sync records (has to be done manually)
    - One-size-fits-all approach for all countries operating under the brand even though markets are different
    - Often pressured into servicing unsuitable clients by other Flight Centre brands

    Conseils à la direction

From a UK perspective, the systems in place slow things down enormously, affecting productivity and morale. The people are brilliant, the processes just need to catch up to do them justice!

    Entretien de Interview

Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Sydney, NS (Canada)
    Offres d'embauche déclinées
    Expérience négative
    Entretien facile

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien à Cievents (Sydney, NS (Canada)) en avril 2018.

I was invited to a group interview with approximately 15 other people. It was Internship intake 2018 and first step of the recruitment process. We were divided into groups of four and first we had to introduce each other to the rest of the participants, "selling" our best qualities. After that we had a group task - we were given a business related issue and we had to find solution as a group. Last step was individual task - to find semantic inaccuracies and mistakes in the text given. Meanwhile one of us was asked for a light interview, which lasted about 5 minutes.
The very next day after the interview I received an email which informed me that my "application has passed the initial stage of the recruitment process and has now been forwarded to the Business Leader - cievents for further technical review". It was Friday and already in Monday I received a phone call from the person who interviewed me, it was a quick one just to confirm my availability and readiness to start asap. He also added that "everything looks very positive here and I`ll contact you probably tomorrow". I never heard from him again, not even when I sent a follow up email few days later.
That`s why I rated this interview a negative experience. From my point of view, it is very unprofessional to leave in obscurity candidates. No is an answer too. Event a short formal reply would do a better favour, than ignorance. I wish this review could contribute into corporate ethics improvement.
Good luck with the interviews to those who`s trying!
