None really. When you are on the outside looking in, everything seems so fine and dandy. But low and behold you will learn
No maternity leave, the CEO does not acknowledge your presence if your are a POC. You only “do well” if you are related to the family owners or best friends with the people who are friends with family. If not you will be reprimanded, written up, even fired for the smallest of reasons. People are leaving and being fired constantly. Fear culture, everyone cc’s your manager for the smallest of requests. Micro management is highly accepted. The employee relations person is not the brightest and seems like her head is in the clouds when you voice your concerns about your manager. The HR department appears like they are there to help but nothing gets done. The pay is insultingly low but they keep pushing the reason as being “the market” like that means you should be able to put a roof over your head and feed you family on such low pay. They say they are family oriented but offer 0 maternity leave and 0 flex time for your kids.
J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé une entrevue à Collette.
I was contacted by a recruiter from Collette regarding my application for this position. The recruiter invited me to a phone interview. 30 minutes before the phone interview, the recruiter emailed me to cancel the interview due to scheduling issue. The recruiter said that he would follow up the next day to set another date for the interview, but never emailed me. I contacted the recruiter on 3 separate occasions (each about a week apart) in order to try to set up a new date, but he never responded to any of my emails. It has now been about a month and I haven't heard so much as an apology or any type of reply. I had heard so many good things about this company and I was really excited, but this type of treatment is unacceptable. At the very least, after reaching out, the recruiter could have told me they were taking things in a different direction or they were no longer interested. I am very disappointed in Collette and their HR staff.
