    Avantages

    - Active atmosphere where you're able to learn a diverse set of skills
    - Wonderful experience for grassroots positions
    - Most employees are genuinely dedicated and passionate about the causes
    - The campaigns are mostly good

    Inconvénients

    - Horrible upper-level management and a bureaucratic structure that makes organizational development nearly impossible
    - Pay is laughably bad and benefits don't make up for it
    - A "cultish" vibe: whole recruitment model is based on luring in recent college grads with unrealistic guarantees and then locking them in with the organization long-term
    - Still stuck in the past in many regards, often don't seem willing to evolve or think creatively
    - Whole organization has a feel that they are taking advantage of entry-level staff despite promoting campaigns that often target income inequality and fairness in the workplace

    Conseils à la direction

Learn to listen to entry-level staff rather than just using them like slave labor. Be willing to pay more or staff will continue to leave for better opportunities.

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien à Public Interest Network en juin 2019.

    Entretien

The interview process included an online application followed by a written survey which allowed you to expand upon your service passions and skills. It took less than two hours to complete the written portion of the application.
