Cotter Cunningham

Chief Executive Officer

Cotter Cunningham is the founder, president and CEO of RetailMeNot, Inc., the world's largest digital offers marketplace. Founded in 2009, RetailMeNot, Inc. has grown to more than 500 employees with offices in four countries and headquartered in Austin, TX. In 2013, the company facilitated an estimated $3.5 billion in merchant sales. The company has raised over $700 million from public and private investors including an IPO in July 2013 (NASDAQ: SALE).

Prior to RetailMeNot, Cotter was the senior vice president and COO of Bankrate Inc. (NYSE: RATE) for seven years, taking the company public in 1999 and growing its revenues eight-fold over his tenure. Cotter was also a vice president and general manager with advertising agency VML and worked in the corporate development group at H&R Block, where he was primarily with its CompuServe subsidiary. He wrote the book "Your Financial Action Plan: 12 Simple Steps to Achieve Money Success." He has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and lives in Austin, TX.

Kelli Beougher

Chief Operating Officer

Kelli leads all of RetailMeNot, Inc.'s partner management, advertising sales, operations and merchandising duties. She also manages the integration of domestic and international acquisitions for the company. Since joining RetailMeNot, Inc. in 2009 as employee number two, Beougher has instrumentally grown the company in the United States and abroad by expanding the portfolio of websites and growing a team of top talent. Prior to RetailMeNot, Inc., she was the senior vice president at LinkShare, where she was responsible for advertiser and publisher services and all lines of business in North America. Kelli started her career in GE Capital's management program. At GE, she held roles in client and corporate marketing and Six Sigma operations. Kelli holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Thomas Aylor

Chief Financial Officer

Thomas Aylor is RetailMeNot, Inc.’s chief financial officer. As the head of the global finance organization, Thomas manages both the financial accounting and international finance teams. Thomas joined RetailMeNot in 2012 as VP of finance and principal accounting officer.  

Thomas brings many years of experience to the company, including expertise in strategic financial transactions and public company compliance from previous roles at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. During his 12-year tenure at Ernst & Young, he served clients ranging from growth-stage technology companies to Fortune 500 companies.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas State University.

Chris Copeland

Senior Vice President, Engineering

Chris Copeland is the senior vice president of engineering for RetailMeNot. He oversees engineering teams in four offices internationally that are responsible for delivery of the product roadmap and application of technology to drive the business. Chris joined RetailMeNot in 2011 and has held multiple engineering roles, including senior engineer, director and vice president.

Prior to joining RetailMeNot, Chris served as director of engineering for BorgSolutions Inc. Chris began his career in software and data engineering at Motive Inc., BroadJump Inc. and pcOrder.com Inc.

Throughout his tenure in engineering and engineering leadership, Chris has focused on hiring and growing top talent, building efficient processes and scaling software.  

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Marissa Tarleton

Chief Marketing Officer

Marissa Tarleton is the chief marketing officer of RetailMeNot, Inc, in North America.  In this role, she directs all consumer brand advertising, customer acquisition and retention, search engine marketing, public relations, internal communications, business-to-business marketing, and customer relationship management. Prior to RetailMeNot, Marissa led marketing for Dell Inc.'s North America Consumer and Small Business organization.

Lou Agnese

Senior Vice President and General Manager, International

Lou Agnese is the senior vice president and general manager of RetailMeNot's international businesses. Lou joined the company in 2011 as general counsel and corporate secretary, and has served in various capacities during his tenure, including interim CFO, and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Gift Cards. 

Prior to RetailMeNot, Lou was an attorney with DLA Piper LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, representing numerous companies in capital markets transactions, public company compliance obligations, and a wide range of private and public mergers and acquisitions.

Lou has a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business with a minor in Japanese from the University of the Incarnate Word.

Mausam Bhatt

Senior Vice President, Product

Mausam Bhatt is the senior vice president of product for RetailMeNot, Inc. and leads product vision and strategy for RetailMeNot in the U.S. and oversees the company's product road map and execution.Prior to RetailMeNot, Mausam served as vice president, product and business at Flipkart, a leading ecommerce and mcommerce marketplace in India where he led efforts to establish and grow mobile commerce from the ground up.

John Theiss

Senior Vice President, Retailer and Brand Solutions

As RetailMeNot’s senior vice president of retail and brand solutions, John Theiss leads efforts to deepen its relationships with the largest retailers, brands and advertisers in North America. His responsibilities include managing the company’s sales organization and serving as the voice of the advertiser at the executive level. Prior to RetailMeNot, John served in a variety of leadership roles in the mobile technology and payments space, most notably with Softcard, the mobile commerce solution joint venture with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. He also had a long career at American Express, where for more than 25 years, he led multiple organizations including sales, client management and business development with a focus in the merchant division of the company. 

Jonathan Kaplan

Chief Legal Officer

Jonathan Kaplan is the chief legal officer of RetailMeNot, Inc. He manages all aspects of the company's global legal and government affairs, including corporate governance, compliance, labor and employment, litigation, contracts, and M&A concerns. Jonathan has broad experience advising private and public companies in matters related to corporate governance, public company compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining RetailMeNot, Jonathan was a corporate and transactional attorney at the international law firms DLA Piper LLP, Vinson & Elkins LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP. Jonathan has a J.D. from the University of California at Davis, King Hall School of Law (Order of the Coif) and a B.A. with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

John Adcock

Senior Vice President, People

As Senior Vice President, People, at RetailMeNot, John Adcock leads the full spectrum of human resource functions including the global workforce strategy, culture and engagement, talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, and training and development. 

John has nearly 20 years of human resources experience and most recently served as the vice president of human resources at HomeAway, supporting the full organization in hiring, development and growth of its worldwide talent. Prior to HomeAway, John was at Dell for 11 years in various HR business partner roles as well as leading learning-and-development teams. At American Airlines he led efforts to redefine performance management and leadership development. 

John holds a Master of Science degree in psychology from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas Christian University.

Life in Paris

Life in Vannes

In France, RetailMeNot, Inc. is located in Vannes, a rich cultural city on the south coast of Brittany.     Avantages

    Work / life balance is respected, great services and community, amazing working conditions. Several advantages like free food, international environment, corporate spirit.

    Inconvénients

    There should be more opportunities to develop one's own project within the company. Unfortunately RetailMeNot is already big and gets bigger, thus there is less room for individual improvement.

    Maybe individual improvements should be more considerated. The collective effort that was made is just amazing, but individual efforts may have to be made.

    J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé une entrevue à RetailMeNot (Austin, TX (États-Unis)) en juillet 2018.

    Entretien

    My first contact was through a recruiter. I worked with her previously so she was already familiar with my background. My next interview was with the VP of Product Management. The tone was very relaxed and flowed like a good conversation. Even though it was scheduled late in the day there was good energy all the way to the end. The next phase was an in-person interview at the office. This lasted all day and involved several people who rotated every 45 minutes. Retail Me Not provided lunch which facilitated interviews going the entire time. It sounds hectic, but Retail Me Not really puts a lot of effort into making it a relaxed experience. While they snuck in several "tell me about a time" style of question, the overall feeling was very conversational. Most importantly, each person took the time to make sure that I was able to ask any questions that I had. There were some tricky questions in there, but more than just technical ability they wanted to verify how well you would fit into the company's culture. That part really stands out about the process.
