    * Great Benefits - Comp is very competitive even with bigger tech companies.
    * Mostly great and friendly people - A good mix of some ol' timers and newcomers who get along overall well with each other and help the company grow.
    * Very interesting problems to solve - on the surface the product doesn't seem to be that interesting to work on. Once you get into the details of it, you realize that we need to solve super interesting and complicated problems: Distributed systems, Consistency vs. Availablity issues, monolith vs. microservices, and many more. There is no shortage of interesting work to do.
*Interesting time to work here - the company is growing and changing. As such it is fascinating to see how it is evolving and be part of the company while this is happening.
    * Overall I believe our leadership is solid. They have things to improve on, but who doesn't? I can see that their intentions are well, and they are really striving to make this company successful.

The main reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 has to do with an ongoing problem the company is facing. That is of a very loud minority of long time employees, who refuse to accept the fact that the company has grown and is now public wish shareholders and commitments to customers. They view the new management as "external interference" and anyone new who comes to the company is mocked and is deemed unworthy, regardless of their experience and their proven track record. As such this very vocal minority is undermining all the hard work that everyone else is doing. They are posting here on Glassdoor bad reviews, they gossip in the office, and create camps of "them vs. us". Worst of all they refuse to leave the company and just stay in this perpetual bitter state. So long as those people remain in the company, and continue to poison it from within, the company will not be able to grow and complete its needed transition from a startup to a mature company.

    Conseils à la direction

Per my "cons" section. The vocal minority is known to everyone. We all know who they are and we all hear their complaints and rants. We all feel their toxicity all the time. It is high time that management takes this issue seriously. These people should be gathered together, they should be praised for their hard work that got the company to where it is, and then they should receive amazing severance packages that reflect that hard work.

    Entretien de Market Research Manager

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Bellevue, WA (États-Unis)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience neutre
    Entretien facile

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Smartsheet (Bellevue, WA (États-Unis)) en septembre 2020.

Applied in April and had an interview scheduled with a recruiter. She informed me the position had been put on hold because the CEO didn't view it as a critical role. Not something I would tell a candidate but it was good to know where this position stood in their mind.

They reached back out in August and I had the usual recruiter and hiring manager interviews. The interview ended very well and I was told what to expect next and that we'd talk again.

I then received the generic "your background doesn't match the position" email though I was over qualified if anything. I think they decided they didn't want someone my age in the organization. This is just as well since the role is buried beneath layers of inexperienced people who aren't sure how to address the issues they face.
