Andrew, a Principal Solution Architect, took the initiative to continue his education while working full-time. He decided to continue his education since the IT ecosystem is ever-changing and he wanted to understand a customer’s complex IT environment so he can guide the right solution architecture. Andrew feels that he can be a better trusted advisor with the added knowledge that he has gained from earning his degree. Andrew started his venture in 2018 with the support of Quadient and his manager and completed his degree with a PhD Certificate from Seoul National University of Science and Technology in August 2022.
Meeting room full of kids? That doesn’t look like usual business meeting, does it? We educate new programmers right from the beginning👧🧑🦱. This year, Quadient has joined the global initiative HourofCode and invited kids of our employees to our offices in #HradecKralove and #Olomouc to celebrate and promote computer science education. One-hour introduction to computer science, using fun tutorials (Minecraft & Frozen) showed that anybody can learn the basics. Thanks to the excellent consultation of our colleagues, they could move the Minecraft avatar or create ice❄️ figures with Elsa. After an hour of coding, the children's eyes were shining🤩 for several reasons: 👉 they spent an hour "officially" on the computer with a game they enjoy 👉 they improved their logical thinking 👉 see where their parents work 👉 and even got a certificate and a reward for their work. Vicki began her career at Quadient as a Talent Acquisition Business Partner. In May 2022, she continued on her career path to Talent Acquisition Operations Lead where she exudes her past learnings and knowledge to her current role. The internal mobility at Quadient offered Vicki the opportunity to work in a role that highlighted her strengths and work style. Quadient’s values and flexible work approach has allowed Vicki to continue her professional career while focusing on her new family👶 at home. A business trip to Tahiti🏝, a dream come true for many of us... but true reality for our colleague Roman, who went on a 3-week business trip to Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia🌏 this summer. The main goal, besides getting to know this exotic destination, was to help our customer, an IT service provider for banks, with solution architecture and understanding of best practices for deploying DAS applications. Roman adds: "Besides a fairly heavy workload, I also got to see a lot of beautiful places over several weekends, both in Tahiti itself and on the adjacent island of Moorea, and finally got to try my hand at scuba diving with the device. French Polynesia is not called paradise on earth for anything. I highly recommend everyone to go here at least once, it's really worth it - even if the flight seems endless😉".
