🏆Our Values Project Takes Home Gold🏆 We’re incredibly proud to have won gold in the Internal Communications Campaign category at the CIPR Northern Ireland awards for our work defining and launching our new company values. This achievement celebrates how we’ve reimagined what values mean. Our values aren’t just words on a wall but behaviours that drive performance and innovation globally. Why It Matters As the saying goes, “culture eats strategy for breakfast”, and that’s why our strategy is powered by shared values and behaviours that deliver results. Here’s what made this project special: ✅ Co-created with colleagues worldwide, not in a boardroom ✅ Interactive workshops united colleagues to shape our behaviours through engaging, collaborative challenges. ✅ We've embedded our values and behaviours throughout our organisation, from onboarding and performance to policies and recognition. Our values now shape how we work every day, and they guide how we deliver on our strategic priorities and succeed as one team. 🧡

🚴‍♀️ Together We Ride 🚴‍♀️ Last month, six colleagues from our site in Korea brought our value of collaboration to life by taking part in the 2025 Seven Bridges Tour in Busan, Korea’s vibrant port city. This first-of-its-kind cycling festival brought together over 3,000 participants to explore Busan’s stunning bridges, underpasses, and tunnels covering a 77 km route focused not on competition, but on community and connection. Representing Survitec with pride, Guenjoo Lim, Jaewon Ban, Moonseok Kim, Yu Kim, Hyungjin Park, and Donghyun Park rode every kilometre together, supporting one another, staying safe, and finishing strong as a team. Their journey is a perfect reminder that when we live our values, even the most challenging goals become achievable.

When we say "We Exist to Protect Lives", we mean it. Our duty of care to our customers means we undergo rigorous testing of our solutions before they go to market. Part of this process is the heavy weather sea trial, where our team goes out to sea in treacherous conditions of Beaufort scale 6 or above, to demonstrate the system's ability to function in adverse conditions. Here we have some behind-the-scenes footage from a recent heavy weather sea trial, showcasing just how seriously we take our responsibility. Check out those waves!

Taking care of our mental health matters every day. That’s why we encourage everyone to take small, intentional steps to look after themselves – not just on World Mental Health Day, but every day. Talking about how we feel helps us navigate life’s ups and downs, and sharing openly reminds us we’re never alone. Take a moment to check in with yourself, and if you can, check in with someone else too. A simple conversation can make a big difference. We also asked our colleagues how they manage their wellbeing when work gets tough. Their answers were a powerful reminder that small actions can have a big impact.

“I would have died kayaking without a buoyancy aid.” When 63-year-old Neil Boast set out kayaking earlier this year, he had no idea how quickly his life would be at risk. Midway through training for the Thames 200 Ultra race, Neil suffered a sudden heart attack. His kayak capsized, leaving him unconscious in the water. Luckily, Neil was wearing a buoyancy aid from Yak, our leading adventure equipment brand. It kept him afloat, allowing his friend to tow him to shore, where emergency services took over. The RNLI the UK Charity, reports that wearing a buoyancy aid or lifejacket can increase survival chances by up to four times in cold water. In critical moments, the reliability of our Survival Technology means everything and the essence of our purpose: We Exist to Protect Lives.

On Wednesday, our Marine Systems Design Manager, Iain Mclean and Director of Engineering and R&D, Richard Kerrigan, attended the IMO Maritime Safety Committee 110th Session in London. With the support of the Bahamas Maritime Authority, Iain shone a light on the intricacies involved when introducing a novel appliance, the Seahaven System, to the market, as well as how Survitec have derisked the acceptance for carriage process for owners and shipyards as far as practical. It was an excellent opportunity to speak with those in attendance and receive feedback from member states and NGOs.
