Become part of the connectivity software team and contribute to make NXP a leader in IoT MCU. You will be working with protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, ZigBee stacks and supporting various application layers like Matter. In other word, you will develop technologies which are setting the trends in the Internet of Things community !

As an embedded software engineer you will be addressing the challenges of integrating connectivity stacks on microcontroller like driver and OS integration, multiprotocol coexistence or low power optimization.

Your responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of Connectivity Framework component like Low Power Manager, Over The Air Update, Wireless Coexistence Module
• Ensure quality of the produced software through testing and development process compliance
• Integrate connectivity stacks on new Silicon or on pre-Silicon / FPGA
• Support customer

With sites in Europe, US and China, NXP Edge Processing Connectivity Software team is a multi-cultural international team operating with an open, collaborative and agile mindset. You will be based in Sophia Antipolis, France, and report to the Connectivity Framework Technical manager.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

• University degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field
• C programming skills
• Strong interest for Microcontroller and IoT device programming, for example through personal projects development.
• Knowledge of Networking Protocols (IP, UDP, TCP) and Wireless Communications (Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Thread)
• Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle
• English verbal and written communication skills

Furthermore, you have :

• Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and peripherals
• Knowledge of real-time systems and RTOS
• Exposure to A-Spice process is a plus
• Basic ability to interpret mixed signal PCB schematics
• Knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography protocols
