      Avantages

      You save money when you travel and you get the opportunity to expose your skills to the other employers on the field. It is awesome to travel to many parts of the country and world on the company dollar.

      Inconvénients

      Being away from your family for long period of time. Cheap per diem compared to other companies. Cost of living where you travel at times does not cover the per diem given especially when traveling to Europe. It sucks not to earn the mileage points and the nights on the hotels when you are the one traveling.

      Thanks for your review. As a result of your comments, ASC's management performed a top-to-bottom review of our travel policies. The following changes were made in late 2012: 1.) employees can now keep their flight and hotel points for ASC travel 2.) The per-diem amount has been increased, and 3.) we have notified our travel department to pay close attention to the quality of the hotel and to complaints of our employees. Good luck with your career.

      Thanks for the review. You are correct that we have lots of work, and it's also true that sometimes that work load can add stress to your day. Sorry about that. We are continuing to take steps to improve the work efforts so that they occur with fewer roadblocks. Hopefully that will make your day less stressful in the future. As for the investment opportunities, ASC is privately held and as such does not issue stock or options to employees.

      Decent starter job for controls engineer

      Inconvénients

      Management will very rarely have your back as the dollar sign is gods word. Field work sounds exciting at first but will ship you out on back to back multi-month jobs without breaks. There are snakes in the other departments that will try to bring you down to bring themselves up. Benefits arent great either and judge you for taking sick days and vacation time.
