Lots of talent in the team, real potential in the brand.

Inconvénients

The company and team are being held back by poor micro management. Difficult working environment caused by problems and lack of direction at the top.

We do value feedback; we aim to be immensely thoughtful at Acamar, about our culture, our approach to our work, and the welfare and professional development of everyone in our team. We believe that this is the best way to succeed and grow in an ever more complex competitive environment. Our Senior Leadership Team are all in an active team-wide coaching and leadership programme. In addition, over 30 of our senior colleagues are currently engaged in leadership coaching. We also provide an extremely wide range of training programmes and last year 100% of our team members participated in at least one of the training programmes we offer. Perhaps as a result, we have a notably low level of staff turnover. Our organisation continues to grow and to achieve industry-leading awards and successes, and this has also been true during the last two years, despite the many new obstacles which occurred during the global pandemic. The type of person who genuinely thrives at Acamar tends to stay with us happily for many years, to perform conscientiously in roles of growing seniority, and to enjoy the immensely thoughtful, collegiate culture we work hard to create and maintain. Avantages

* Committed and hard working colleagues - the team comprises genuinely nice people who support each other during both highs and lows. * Competitive salary - while the salary is good, it’s essential to consider the trade-offs. * Inspirational purpose - the IP carries a lovely message, which can be motivating short term.

Inconvénients

* Uncertain company future - the organization’s instability due to frequent layoffs and redundancies over the past two years raises concerns, and the lack of a clear strategy or commitment exacerbates this issue. * Overbearing CEO: his micromanagement, including screening Instagram posts, hampers efficiency. * Lack of streamlining approval processes is curbing progress. * Inconsistent management - frequent changes in rules, plans, deadlines, and budgets create confusion. * Lack of centralized monitoring - despite efforts, the absence of a centralized system makes tracking progress challenging and transparency almost impossible. * Restricted creativity - collaborative work occurs within tight boundaries, hindering innovation. * Questionable promotions -promoting individuals without relevant experience to high positions impacted overall effectiveness. * Diversity and Inclusion gap - celebratory emails alone don’t foster a truly inclusive workplace. The company should actively promote diversity and create an inclusive environment. * HR Challenges - the absence of an employee handbook, vague contracts, and undefined role descriptions pose difficulties to defend yourself in face of redundancies.

Avantages

Can work from home a lot and when in office, can wear quite liberal clothing. Nice Macs and other tech.

Inconvénients

Initially the company was small and dynamic. Later it became cumbersome, chaotic, ineffective, non-inclusive.
