The only reason you should work at Akamai is the amazing hardworking and loving coworkers on the team. They do offer some benefits but counteract those by scheduling employees on overtime while boss is on mainland or on vacation. Religious company so you’ll feel welcome if you’re christian, maybe a little uncomfortable if you aren’t.
Inconvénients
Scheduling is inconsistent and not flexible. Promises are constantly made and never fulfilled by the owners. The owners are heavily pushing growth within their company but leaving the current day to day operations and staff in the dust. When they do take the time to stop in at their severely understaffed locations you can look forward to receiving additional tasks and work to do all for a barely livable wage. There is also inconsistent help and favoritism from the owners at each location. Lots of favoritism that is reflected in time off requests and general day to day expectations of each employee as well.
