Avantages
Cool idea, great to add to a resume, WFH, some of the brands you work with are super awesome and networking with them is nice
Inconvénients
Prides themselves in being a cool startup, does not care about their creative side at all. Fought for a long time to get increased wages, annual salary increases were less than $1 and manager "fought" (their words) to get me a $1 increase in salary. Was told our salary was great for the area the company was founded in..... but we were a remote company based around the country. Utilized virtual assistants from poor countries off website they found so they could pay them minimum wage and have them do all the same (if not more) work than us (exploited the hell out of them). Promoted those who made less money over everyone else so they could get them to do more work and not have to pay as much. Those passionate about the work would be burnt out quickly after starting because they were overworked and undervalued. If you had the drive and want to be promoted into a newer position excuses would be found and dished out so that it was near impossible to get a promotion without putting in 10x the work you were doing (which was often undervalued no matter how far above average you went). Pretends to care and "inspires" the team with false promises, only cares about the sales team and can't even keep them from not leaving quickly. Stuck in their ways and rigid when asked for different outcomes and easily attainable goals from brands. Not willing to look at the current change in influencer marketing and adapt, instead tries to sell their idea of what they think it should be. Not willing to pay creators for their work as a way to "value authenticity" but are getting tens of thousands from brands to run campaigns to just give people free stuff. I literally have anxiety when i receive slack messages or too many phone notifications in a row from the constant stress of being contacted whenever and wherever people felt like contacting me, on hours or off. Heard from a more recent employee they were told in a meeting that the business wouldn't last much longer because "they aren't putting in the work". MAJOR red flag.
