Avantages

Applied Video Solutions (AVS) is an absolutely incredible company to work for. You will work with a very talented, friendly and supportive team. Additionally, management, including the C-Level, is incredibly approachable and amazing to work with. AVS is the local company that is highly recognized on the market because of the quality of products and services it offers. I love here the continuous innovation and adoption of new things that help not only us (the team) to achieve personal and career goals and growth, but also benefit the community and its customers.

Inconvénients

I cannot think about any cons during my time at AVS.

Avantages

Amazing co-workers. No politics or trying to bring others down, just go and get things done! Everyone is super easy to work with and in harmony. Job security. Rarely...actually NEVER is anyone worrying about losing their job as long as they work hard and do the best job they can do. There are a couple of part timers in the office. Its nice to know that option is there and they accommodate for that. CEO is actually really great. Motivated and skilled at what he does. Company would be lost without him. Full health and dental for full timers. Full time is 32 hours a week as of this writing.

Inconvénients

Upper management is definitely one of the cons. Lots of chaos and it seems like we never have the employee man power for the amount of work we accept. With the exception of the CEO himself, who is amazing, management is severely flawed. Too much criticism and micro management. Let the experts in each team use their expertise and experience to do the job right, not tell them how to do it despite not being an expert in the subject matter. Too much criticism means management (the CFO in particular) is quick to complain about the flaws in an executed job, rather than how amazingly well the rest of the job or project went. Nobody wants to work their behind off the day before only to be told how bad of a job you did the next day. Everything has to be tracked in this thing called Harvest. OK I get it but its excessive and annoying and sometimes we just need a break from this. No gaining of skills in IT. Does not give us time to study or learn anything, does not care about your career beyond this company.
