Avantages
The normal stuff for a startup, newish tech stack and reasonably flexible. Cool engineers scattered here and there.
Inconvénients
Executive leadership is fairly clueless. Product cannot come up with ideas that are economically viable in the market but will spin a lot of wheels and will point the finger at engineering when they cannot deliver all the absurd pivots. Laying off folks with no notice and no severance is especially heinous. Just so the company can keep that money and and throw more spaghetti on the wall. For new hires, go in eyes wide open and know you are truly a cog and will probably be gone in the next round of layoffs. There have been two in a couple years. For the existing hires I would like to think the company would be better going forward, but the best I can hope for is they find the next gig anywhere else.
