Inconvénients
Was headhunted by AvePoint and laid off after just a month in. Asked for the reason and was told it has been decided by upper management and it is non-negotiable. After repeated attempts to push for a reason, HR said it was due to performance. 1 month and performance could be judged, really?! Access and permissions to work related matters were only fully obtained after 3 weeks in and zero proper training done, other then watching training videos and you say it is performance? That is clear evidence that AvePoint does not truly value people. You do not headhunt people and cut them off after just a month. People leave their job to join you and this is how you treat them? In addition, there is a reason for probation period - to assess people's performance within a reasonable time period. With how this company treats its staff, you are honestly better off elsewhere. Prior to signing with AvePoint, I had looked them up on Glassdoor and their rating was dismal. If I remember correctly, it was below 2.5. After joining, there was an email encouraging employees to leave their reviews on Glassdoor to help improve the ratings. Although it was not a blatant message telling employees to write only positive reviews, the only way to improve Glassdoor rating is to leave positive reviews - I am sure your good self can figure things out, yeah. Oh, and their former CMO Jeff Pease is no longer with them after just 11 months. Says more than enough about their hiring/work practices, yeah.
