Avantages
Tyee used to be a great place to work. Above average pay compared to other similar shops. Great bonuses and really experienced managers/supervisors who knew the trade and were committed real continuous improvement... Not just make people work harder for less pay, but actual improvements in machines, tooling and better engineered quality products.
Inconvénients
Now it's owned by Transdigm Inc. and has been merged with Avtech Corp to be Avtechtyee Aircraft Inc. They brought in Avtech's management team and pushed out the old team that made the company the success it was. There was a reason Transdigm paid 1.3 BILLION dollars for the group. Almost every person involved in Tyee's success, from managers to supervisors, engineers to inspectors... Have all left because the new management team is completely, to the last man, utterly incompetent when it comes to true aerospace manufacturing. Hundreds of years of experience has walked out the door in the last year and they don't really see it as a big deal.
