Avantages

Remote first Great coworkers Everyone is passionate and genuinely excited about the product

Inconvénients

No direction. Management is full of micromanagers. Another review said They want to be involved in everything, They overcomplicate business processes and create duplicative work. I agree wholeheartedly with this statement, and I think anyone who interacts with the leadership even on a somewhat regular basis shares this sentiment. Prepare to waste a ton of time in needless meetings and get little to nothing done. There seems to be turnover for a lot of important roles, and never enough resources, there is never enough hiring happening. The hiring team practices feel borderline discriminatory. It’s true, they actively looks for reasons to disqualify people under the guise that they want only the best (aka really good interviewees) Benefits are poor, not very competitive with other companies. PTO is really lacking, yes the company has a few “recharge” days but these are days most startups recognize as holidays, and they already give employees these days off anyways (July 4 weekend, day after thanksgiving, etc.) 15 days feels criminal in this day and age.

Avantages

Supportive leadership team. Great work life balance. Realistic quotas. Low friction between sales and CS. Strong executive team.

Inconvénients

If you don’t have a science background you’ll need to do some more work to ramp quickly like watching more gong calls, meeting with other AEs and your onboarding buddy more often to pick their brain so you can learn the industry better. Selling motion is the same but helpful when you understand how Pharma/Biotech companies operate including hierarchy and job roles.

Avantages

GTM at BioRender sits at a pretty unique place in the startup world today: profitability and growth both in the double digits, a very strong executive team (ex-Toast VPs), and an outstanding product with an AI moat that accelerates scientific research. 2026 is an exciting year to be a part of our next phase of growth, with new products in the pipeline and GTM upgrades like a best-in-class solutions consulting team. I've found the GTM org to be very healthy - strong culture, leaders and colleagues who support you, and excellent career growth. Work life balance is valued, and remote work is respected while opportunities are also created to connect in-person as a team.

Inconvénients

I was hesitant to join BioRender after seeing negative Glassdoor reviews, but decided to trust my gut from my positive impression of the GTM team during my interview process. There are a lot of toxic startup cultures out there, and I wanted my next company not to be one of them. I'd encourage any GTM professional with the same concerns to join BioRender; the reviews do not hold up in reality. We definitely have areas we could be doing better - see my advice to management below.
