CashApp had some great benefits from flexible work arrangement, health insurance and friendly culture.
Inconvénients
Long hours, some times lacked transparency, most of the decision making comes from the head offer in the US. In late 2023 the company was told that there wouldn't be a mass layoff. Fast forward 3 months and 1000 people were let go globally and lot of people were taken by surprise. The employees outside of the US had a really bad experience when doing their consultative period at the end. There was very limited human interaction (all done via email) and HR was unresponsive when we needed them the most. We were only notified at short notice before being locked out of the system and 1 day earlier than expected. All of this has created further anxiety amongst the leftover of employees to what their job security looks like moving forward. It's a sad way for it all to end. At the beginning you feel like a valued employee but by the end of it you come to realise that your are just a number in a big wheel. We thought CashApp was different but It turns out it's no different.
