Service awards employees will actually use (bb.com hands out Amazon gift cards as opposed to pens or other corporate-branded items that get hidden in a closet).
Inconvénients
Work-life balance is not good in some, but not all, departments. Some teams work Christmas and New Year's holidays each year to meet Jan 1 deadlines. People seem to be fired/let go for small things - great employee with outstanding performance reviews for 3+ years is quickly fired after transferring to new supervisor. HR needs to enforce the rules around inappropriate workplace behavior.
