Poor Leadership Okay Product - Avis employé Solutions Engineer CData

I genuinely enjoy working at CData. It is a fast-paced company and there is always a lot going on, but what makes it stand out is the support and camaraderie across the team. People are willing to jump in, help each other, and work together, which makes the pace feel manageable and rewarding. One thing I really appreciate is how hands-on and accessible leadership is. The C-suite is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and support the team directly. That is not something you see everywhere, and it makes employees feel seen, valued, and empowered. I also appreciate the remote-first environment and the work-life balance. There is trust in employees to own their work, manage their time, and still have flexibility. The company cares about recognizing and rewarding people, and I do feel like employees are given opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways

Because the company is growing and moving quickly, priorities can shift and the pace can be high at times. It is probably best suited for people who are comfortable with change, ownership, and a little ambiguity.

Teammates are great and actually know what they’re doing. The product itself has potential if it were managed better.

Leadership is all over the place decisions change constantly and nobody explains why. Your input as an employee often feels ignored. Career growth? Don’t hold your breath.
