Though the company is changing at the top (for the better - more gentlemen), it is very much a caste system. Staff that were "key employees" under the old ownership structure very much think the company is theirs. These types are very supercilious - engineers that think they know everything and that look down upon non-engineers as having little value. That's a prejudice that can be ill-afforded in a diversified, global enterprise. There is an unfortunate history of hires at the top that the rank & file did not respect.
