Avantages

the people are kind (the managers are not - you think they’ve got your back but they all gossip behind your backs and everyone knows eachothers business - a very toxic atmosphere and constant tension) the training is good and thorough but they micromanage you and make you feel like you’re at school

Inconvénients

i was made to leave due to having too much time off for my mental health. I had recently notified them of my mental health issues and was made to feel like i was cared about, however I was very wrong. I was told that it would not be beneficial to the company to keep me on - a disgusting thing to say to someone who is already at a low point. They wait until the end of the day to sack you so that they can get one more day out of you. They constantly push you to meet ridiculous targets and everyone works like a machine. Members of staff are constantly moaning about the way managers treat them, and the managers think they are the big bosses and better than everyone else. they make you feel like this is an elite place to work and like you are lucky they have chosen you, but in reality the staff turnover is very high and people are always leaving because they can’t deal with the way they’re treated. You are constantly being watched over like a hawk and always judged, and they make out like they’re your friends but please believe they are not. The business do not care about you, so don’t be fooled. The CEO is a very rich man who does not care about you, he just cares about making more money and coming across as a nice person but all the managers are scared of him

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review for CV-Library. We're sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience working with us. We genuinely care about each and every employee and work hard to make sure that everyone is supported by their manager, HR, and the wider business. Mental health is a key priority at CV-Library and, as we recently communicated to all staff, we are looking at introducing further dedicated resources, in addition to the unrestricted access to the confidential counselling/advice service WeCare that we currently offer to everyone in the company. Our sick leave policy allows a generous payment, regardless of role or level, and confidentiality around any absence is paramount to us. We genuinely take all feedback on board and aim to address any concerns employees have if they are raised with us. If you'd like to discuss the issues you've raised directly, please feel free to give us a call or drop us an email. We wish you well with your future employment. Kind regards, The CV-Library Team

Avantages

Majority of people are kind and great to work with!

Inconvénients

Be mindful that many of the positive reviews appear shortly after employees join, as new starters are encouraged to submit feedback on Glassdoor early on. This can sometimes result in overly optimistic perspectives that don’t fully reflect the longer-term experience. There is a noticeable divide in tenure across the company—some employees have been there for many years, while others tend to move on relatively quickly, creating a sense of inconsistency in team stability. The overall culture can feel somewhat outdated, with practices and expectations that may not align with more modern or flexible working environments. For example, lunch breaks are strictly scheduled, and there is limited flexibility around personal routines during the day. Use of mobile phones during working hours is also actively discouraged. At times, the atmosphere can feel tense, particularly around senior leadership, which may contribute to a sense of unease within the office. Additionally, differing targets across teams can lead to internal disputes, occasionally resulting in friction or office politics rather than collaboration. Finally, benefits are limited, particularly for newer employees, with more meaningful perks only becoming available after a longer tenure (5 years+).
