Avantages

had nothing to do for a long time so got paid to sit on the bench and do some pretty boring tasks.

Inconvénients

- they have no work. They hire when they think they will get work (which they mislead their staff by telling them they always have something around the corner), but when they don't get the job they think they will, there is trouble. - they always lay people off and then a few weeks later they will hire someone. - pay is crap. even progression pay is crap. - they just get by from what i can see - very stagnant business. - no real opportunities for REAL progression (how many partners can they really have without a significant growth in business) - people get realllllllly bored here

When decisions are made to hire new employees, we always consider the long-term opportunity. We never hire employees for specific projects, and in CRG’s 14+ years we have not fired a single employee due to a lack of projects. While everyone joins management consultancies to be on client projects, the reality is there can be periods between projects. We view this time as an opportunity for employees to explore new business development opportunities for CRG, invest time in their professional development, and contribute to improving the firm on projects they are passionate about or will challenge them. It is unfortunate you were unable to take advantage of this time. Regarding pay, we evaluate our compensation packages frequently in comparison with other employers in the market as well as our industry. We find our compensation and benefits are not only fair, but above market average in certain aspects. We really wish you would have felt comfortable to raise your feedback while employed at CRG to provide us with an opportunity to address your concerns in a timely and effective manner. We take great pride in working diligently on maintaining an open and consistent line of communication with our team to maintain a level of trust that directly contributes to our team’s ability to thrive and succeed both personally and professionally. In fact, we were recently certified as a Great Place to Work® after a thorough and independent analysis was conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute® Canada. This certification is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive anonymous survey about their workplace experience and a review of our company culture. Further, it is sincerely unfortunate you are posting comments about rumors of fake reviews which are absolutely unfounded. We hope you have better experiences in your future employment. We would be happy to discuss any of your feedback further. You can contact us at info@carlyriangroup.com.

Avantages

Culture: management heavily invested in developing talent in terms of both core analytical skills, and leadership capabilities. Team is collaborative, supportive, and enjoys spending time together. Client exposure / exit opps: boutique environment creates great opportunities for client exposure. Many team members left to roles related to past engagements after working closely with executives in strategy, process improvement, and innovation related groups Training: strong investments in creating well-rounded professionals with the analytical capabilities required for leadership roles

Inconvénients

At the time that I joined the firm, it was a young company with immature processes and policies. Expect that this has improved over time.

Avantages

Exposure to High-Caliber Client Executives: Junior consultants enjoy significant interaction with top-tier client executives, fostering valuable professional relationships. Immediate Impact on Client Organizations: The opportunity to effect tangible, immediate changes within client organizations enhances the consultant's contribution and influence. Annual Team Excursions: Engaging and enriching team excursions are organized annually, promoting team cohesion and a positive work environment. Top-Tier Client Portfolio: The firm boasts an impressive client portfolio, providing consultants with the opportunity to work on challenging and prestigious projects. Competitive Compensation: Compensation packages slightly surpass those offered by major consulting firms, ensuring financial recognition for consultants' contributions. Competitive Vacation Days: A competitive allocation of vacation days offers consultants a balanced approach to work-life commitments.

Inconvénients

Work-Life Imbalance: The firm's culture often demands uncompensated late nights and weekends, where long working hours are glorified, particularly within the management team. Internal Process Delays: The internal processes exhibit lag, evident in extended expense reimbursements and vacation approval Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Limited Budgets for Internal Initiatives: Tight budgets restrict the development of internal initiatives, excluding the annual reward trip. Lack of Leadership Training: Leadership lacks formal training, with some managers resorting to unprofessional gossip instead of providing constructive feedback and growth opportunities. Subpar Benefits Package: The benefits package falls below industry standards, potentially leaving employees dissatisfied with their overall compensation package. Unfulfilled Promises: Leadership frequently fails to uphold commitments, such as providing a functional office space, leading to employee disappointment. "Hire Today, Fire Tomorrow" Policy: The company's policy of frequent layoffs, exemplified by a 35% reduction in the team in 2023, raises concerns about job security. Minimal Severance in Employment Contracts: Employment contracts offer minimal severance (1 week per year), emphasizing the importance of carefully reviewing contractual terms before committing to employment.
