Real engineering challenges, you must make machines do impressive things not for a demo, but for real life products. You are well compensated for your work with paid OT. Getting paid extra for what you would do for fun anyway.
Inconvénients
Acknowledge the realities of the tradeoffs of developing at a fast pace and being able to deliver quality and robust products. Formalize where on the scale between the two qualities a project is, and do not hold a double standard.
