Avantages

Job stability. That’s all they offer.

Inconvénients

Deceived during hiring process. Limited raises/bonuses + salary under market rate. Non existent HR and documentation. Impossible to get reduced down to less than 4 days in office. Upper Management is horrible at the department level up until the executives/CEO. CEO always has a condescending tone. Micromanagers Structure of department/job titles/project placement is all over the place Only way to move out is to work above and beyond while making time to socialize with upper management to be seen (Good luck doing this with a high workload and meetings all day) Have also caught management in multiple lies. No culture, everyone cliques up by race/department Assigned seats/meeting rooms but people will take yours (Don’t let it be an executive) Favoritism/Referral process is weird (Seen a lot of conflict on interest with people getting their friends and family hired) Employee Diversity is laughable.

Avantages

Global reach, brand name/reputation, nice technology equipment and solid networking. Opportunity for internal mobility. Good 401k match.

Inconvénients

Incredibly slow systems and stifling bureaucracy. Culture is overall relaxed but not very hospitable, which is likely both a symptom and cause of a high-turnover environment. Raises are well below inflation. Moral does not seem considerably high and the bureaucratic nature of work hinders development. All of these factors combined negatively impact motivation. Very little open discussion about marketplace trends and tedious processes make the role feel very administrative despite being more analytical at other firms who have improved their systems. The firm has done a great job of diversifying across product lines and geographies, but a very poor job of talent retention and upgrading systems, which are the long-term tailwinds that’ll put Chubb at the forefront of the industry.
