Avantages
Great location, solid non-management people who care about students. The place changes lives for the underprivileged, first-gen collegiates, POC, women… it’s a noble mission and meaningful work. Just don’t get a whiff of advancing your career here under any circumstances…
Inconvénients
… because underneath the veneer, it is a taxpayer boondoggle for “management” rejects who would be kicked off of The Island of Misfit Toys for their foibles. Up until the new president arrived, there was a total leadership vacuum. Utterly mind-blowing. Gross financial mismanagement, questionable mid-level-and-up hires, ONGOING golden parachutes for the folks who mess(ed) the place up… having meetings is not work. WORK is work. What you allow is what will continue, CSU. Get it together.
