Our business in India has increased significantly, which is a great thing, with many new customers and GSIs being onboarded and joining our Commvault community. The India business hours straddle between our APAC and EMEA centers, based in Sydney and Reading, which results in a sub-optimal experience for our Indian based customers. In addition, the mismatched time zone alignment adds additional load for our support teams in both APAC & EMEA.
Therefore, with the growth of the India market and our ongoing investment in our partners and GSIs, we have decided to invest in a local support presence in Bangalore, India. This new center will be tasked with servicing local India region volume, and not our broader global customer base. We currently have similar centers in both China (Beijing & Shanghai), and Japan (Tokyo), and see this as the optimal approach to providing a localized support experience within a global support model. This will also ease regional India based loading in our APAC and EMEA centers.
Further, we are continuing to invest in our existing centers, and currently, have open engineer roles for our Sydney center which we are actively recruiting for.
This is an exciting time for everyone at Commvault, with new opportunities and projects to get involved with.
