The company in general is entrepreneurial. They are willing to pursue new ideas and new industries. Management is heavily vested in the company and willing to be aggressive in making major decisions. Also, job roles aren't always restrictive, so one can provide input outside of their specific area. Depending on the area, the company is mostly not bureaucratic and very much merit-based in how people are treated. Also, their compensation rates have historically been on the higher side for the industry. Further, CompuCredit is genuinely trying to offer a better value proposition for its customers, so it's good to know that the company, despite stories to the contrary, is trying to do things the right way.

The prospects for consumer lending for the subprime population is very poor. Given the challanges facing this entire industry and the limitations on funding sources, this company is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Much will be decided in the next year regarding the continued viability of the company. Also, the benefits package is limited, though compensation is normally solid.
