Avantages
The only pro is some of the people I worked with that has nothing to do with the company itself.
Inconvénients
They will low ball you on salary because they can as only hospital in the area. Pay is absolutely terrible compared to any other hospital I've been in, including the closest hospitals located in Birmingham. They have promoted, based on who they like only, to management positions that have no business running a unit. They make policies for medical staff that obviously are made from people that have never actually worked as medical staff. People are NEVER appreciated, especially the good people that do a great job. Constantly make big sweeping changes that don't address the problems they have. It's absolutely the worst medical facility I have ever worked for. You will not get paid at market value. I got a 50% raise with my next job. If you can get 50% more pay at another job as a registered nurse, it's not because you got lucky with a good job, it's because you were being grossly underpaid. Do not work here, full of frustration. I was a nurse for 8 years before I began working at DCH. New nurses especially, do not settle because it's close to home. Go somewhere else and learn more and get fairly paid to work. RUN AWAY
