In Pros I would say that its a U.K.Govt. organization...renowned donor and a good exposure to start off the initial stage of professional life as an Intern. In DFID India amongst all the units, ECGU Team (Energy and Climate Growth Unit) is a fun to work with. People are extremely helpful, friendly, humble and supportive. Zero hierarchy in the unit. Seniors are extremely supportive, always gives patient hearing. In short, its a bunch of Amazing people..
Inconvénients
In cons, I am sharing my views for ART (Asia Regional Team) based at DFID India office ONLY. Terrible management and Rubbish system in ART, never recognize the hard work you put in, never believes in a healthy and positive communication and motivating people, lack of trust amongst team members, unsupported attitude towards team members, junior staff and rest of the DFID staff. Seniors are really impatient which makes life and work miserable. Apart of their own team meeting, they hardly attends any other official meetings and discussions conducted by DFID India. Hierarchy to the core. Prefers to stay aloof. Absolutely zero scope of growth and further promotions. Staff keep on doing the same thing on the same level for years.
