Avantages

Good environment with eager young people working there. Middle management is talented and works hard/with you. Very good and efficient architecture firm. Very good proprietary app (although under utilized)

Inconvénients

CEO uses business as a vanity project. Doesn't add much to company other than the need for control. Company doesn't always hire the best or most qualified individuals - more often than not, they hire kids right out of college (mainly PhillyU) on the cheap, make them work extremely hard until they ask for a raise or quit, and then replace them with a new recent college grad.

Avantages

Working at Designblendz has been a highly engaging and enjoyable experience for me. I have held four different positions here, each with a unique set of responsibilities, and each a welcome progression to my career path. There are a lot of positive things to say about this company from the culture to the day-to-day work we do, but the most crucial component for me is the commitment to embracing the unique strengths (and weaknesses) of each employee and making sure that they are in the role best suited for them, even if that sometimes means redefining the roles themselves.

Inconvénients

While fast-growing, this is still a small/medium-sized company that relies on each member of the team executing their role to the highest level possible. If you're looking for a small role at a big company where you can fly under the radar from 9-5, this isn't it.
