Avantages
I came from a much larger local developer, frustrated by the bureaucracy, desperate to be a part of something I could stand behind. I've found that and more at Devron. Ownership are some of the most caring, down to earth people you could ever hope to meet and the team they've assembled reflects their values and vision for the company. To that end, the team is driven by a genuine desire to have a positive impact on their homeowners, on the communities they work in, and on the industry at large. Opportunities for personal and professional growth are everywhere, provided you take the initiative.
Inconvénients
The team -- leadership included -- is young and are trying to shake up an established industry, so they learn some lessons the hard way. Better process and a bit more experience across the board might make things run a bit smoother, day to day. IMO, taking a few lumps is a fair trade for the opportunity to shape the kinds of projects Devron has in the pipeline. I would encourage anybody disappointed with how the sausage is made at a larger shop and wanting to bring some change positive to the industry to consider a role at Devron.
