Whilst it’s part of life, it is always sad when people leave our organisation, and we are disappointed to find out that you have left with negative feelings. We understand that sometimes it’s just not a good fit, and we send our best wishes for your happiness and success in future roles. DiUS has been built around enabling autonomy within our workforce and our resulting flat structure is not for everyone. We believe in the teams on the ground working closely with our clients to steer their own engagement, rather than a top down management led approach. We are certainly passionate about creating space and opportunity for individuals to grow, and see this as a key strategic target of our business. This can take the form of providing internal and external training, conference attendance, certifications, on the job growth through mentoring and support, as well as supporting peer based knowledge sharing groups. This provides support for employees to proactively shape their future career the way they want. Whilst some people struggle with this more ambiguous growth and goal setting, we feel it provides the best environment for the majority of our workforce and fits within the way our business operates. We’ve designed our remuneration policy to be simple, straightforward and in line with industry standards. Salary reviews are in line with individuals growth and the contribution they bring to our customers and our organisation. We truly wish you all success and satisfaction moving forward. Regards DiUS

Avantages

- DiUS was a great place to work, with a fantastic culture of genuine, down-to-earth engineers and management who want to do interesting work; - This has created a environment where curiosity is encouraged and people have an opportunity to work on genuine leading edge technologies or commercialisation of solutions with their start-up ventures. - There's a wealth of experience within the firm, including developing new technologies, how to apply it to specific business challenges, and the best ways to deploy them - The CFO role was a great way to see how new technologies are changing business and how to scale tech ventures properly; the successful growth and exit of Pactflow to Smartbear is a testament to the strategic rigour DiUS can deliver.

Inconvénients

- The pace of change can be fast - staff need to be comfortable with some ambiguity and pivoting when circumstances shift; - The business is exposed to the ups and downs of the tech cycle - which has obviously been a greater theme in Australia over the last few years. In some instances there were quieter periods where work was slower or rightsizing was needed. Management do their best to manage the impacts of this with transparency,

Avantages

I've been working here at DiUS for over 7 years now, and can say that it has been my favourite place to work so far in my career. Even though there has been some hard times in the last few years, the people and managers that work here are very supportive. It's hard to find a company that really cares, and that's always been my experience at DiUS - everyone is very nice, people listen and care about what I have to say, everyone just wants to do a good job and make the clients happy. Management are pretty good at being transparent with what is happening in the market and how it impacts our clients and our work, and we have regular All Hands meetings where we can hear business and strategy updates, and ask questions. We have started working more in the client's office this year, up to 3 days a week if we have a team in Sydney. We also have the option to work from the shared sydney office, which has a good vibe, but sometimes you don't have a desk so need to plan when to work there. There has always been a strong focus on new tech, and it's all about AI now. We get a chance to upskill internally, and have a lot of new projects that use or build AI for clients, which is pretty cool.

Inconvénients

The social side has changed since covid, and it's harder for people to come together in the same place now as we are all spread out working with clients or at home. And we have so many new people that have joined the sydney team in the last year, it's hard to get to know them when we're all busy at clients. Sometimes the work we do with clients is more about helping them fill a skills gap instead of developing a product or solution. You need to be a self starter or you might get left behind - the company expects everyone to invest some personal time in learning and upskilling.
